You may have read an article in the Dominion Post on 4th August regarding the new Kiwi Bank deposit free loan. What the article was saying is that with Kiwi Bank there will be no deposit required for loans up to $100,000 and for loans over this amount, only 5% is necessary. As you are aware, the likelihood of finding something to purchase under $100,000 in this area is rare. However, it is still an exciting move for first home buyers in other parts of the country and this, combined with the current low interest rates has to be advantageous for purchasers.
