www.minhousing.govt.nz The Ministry of Housing provides market rent information based on bonds lodged by private landlords.
www.upperhuttcity.com At first I was not impressed by the Upper Hutt City website but the more I use it, the more I like it. It is fast, functional and easy to navigate. Their Xplorer pages will be of great interest to those interested in Upper Hutt real estate. Xplorer displays rating and property information and even displays the locations of drains on each property.
www.newzealand-infocenter.com This site has got the right idea about promoting New Zealand to an international audience, you can view it in 3 languages!
www.propertyreturns.co.nz Annette Collins and Stephen Thoms have produced a web based, software services site for property investors. It has everything from Cashflow analysis to a GST checklist!
www.lookgood.co.nz LookGood Design. Web design, database integration, network installation, firewalling. The IT consultancy who designed and implemented this Real Estate Web site.
www.realtylaw.co.nz I stumbled across this very interesting site. Realty Law are specialists in real estate law. John's newsletters are great reading! I think they balance the perception that agents are sharks - what about vendors who don't pay their commision fees after the job is done ? (see Johns April 2002 newsletter)

www.python.org One barrier to getting started in IT is the high cost of software. At python.org you can download a complete FREE programming language that is (in my opinion) as good as commercially available software.
We use python extensively at NetHomes. It is compact, easy to use and integrates well with our database.
